Project Overview
A full DevOps transformation for a mid-sized SaaS company — migrating from manual deployments to a fully automated CI/CD pipeline with containerised workloads, infrastructure-as-code, and observability across all environments.

The Challenge
The team was deploying manually via SSH, with no staging environment parity, no automated tests in the release process, and no visibility into production health. Deployments took hours and were a regular source of incidents.
Our Solution
Defined all infrastructure as Terraform code targeting Azure. Containerised all services with Docker and migrated orchestration to AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) with Helm charts per service. GitHub Actions pipelines run unit and integration tests, SonarCloud static analysis, and OWASP ZAP security scans on every PR. On merge to main, images are pushed to Azure Container Registry and deployed to staging automatically. Production deployments require a manual approval gate. Datadog monitors all services with alerting on SLO breaches.
Results
- Deployment time reduced from multi-hour manual process to 12-minute automated pipeline
- Zero manual SSH deployments — all environments managed via Terraform and Helm
- SonarCloud and OWASP ZAP integrated into PR checks — security issues blocked before merge
- Datadog SLO dashboards give the team real-time production health visibility
